Starting Tuesday, October 13, the village keeps a shorter week. Bistro Lapin Perdu goes from dinner seven nights a week to Thursday through Monday that day. Abandoned Rail Brewing already posts fall hours on the same pattern, noon to 7pm Thursday through Monday, closed Tuesday and Wednesday. The one business that keeps the same hours all season is Naramata General Store, which says it is open 364 days a year and closes only on Christmas Day.
The busy part of the year doesn't fade out gradually. It ends on a fixed date, the last day of Naramata Gathers, and the quieter schedule starts the next morning.
The Last Full Week Of The Harvest Calendar
Naramata Gathers runs October 2 to 12 across the village and the Bench. Discover Naramata describes it as a harvest celebration spread over many locations, with no single festival ticket. Today, October 4, the Gather in the Village Pop-Up Market runs from 1 to 4pm. It's free, with stalls around Naramata Store, the Village Motel and 4th Meridian, plus live music and a food pickup window at the store.
Here's what remains on the published schedule within walking distance of Robinson Avenue, or a short drive up the Bench:
- October 7. Free Cannery Brewing tastings at Naramata General Store.
- October 8. "The Fascinating Story of the Naramata Home Theatre" at the Naramata Library.
- October 9. A Smashing Good Evening with Just Baked 9 Mile, Naramata General Store and Abandoned Rail Brewing, 4:30 to 8pm. The same night, Greta Papageorgiu hosts Secret Lives of Naramatians, an open mic and variety show at The Burrow. Reserve by email at [email protected].
- October 10. Cellist Marina Hasselberg at The Burrow at Naramata Inn, and the Naramata Gathers Harvest Celebration with chefs Ned Bell and Zac Chan.
- October 11. Thanksgiving dinner at Bistro Lapin Perdu. Roll Out the Barrel runs from noon to 4pm with Tightrope, Bench 1775, Hillside, Upper Bench, Four Shadows, Modesta, JoieFarm and Township 7 taking part. Visit Penticton's Naramata Gathers summary puts Roll Out the Barrel on October 10, but the event's own listing says October 11.
The two Burrow evenings are worth a closer look. On the Inn's current page, The Burrow, the downstairs apéritif bar, is listed as "for events only." That makes festival nights like these the main chance to sit downstairs at the Inn.
How The Week Changes After October 13
Once the festival ends, the posted schedules line up in a clear pattern. Some of them come with conditions, so the table below includes the label each business puts on its own hours.
| Place | Posted days | Posted hours | What the posting says |
|---|---|---|---|
| Naramata General Store, 219 Robinson Ave | Every day except Christmas | 8am–8pm Mon–Sat, 9am–7pm Sun | Open 364 days a year |
| Bistro Lapin Perdu | Thursday to Monday, Oct 13–Nov 1 | Dinner | "Fall Hours," leading to a seasonal closure |
| Abandoned Rail Brewing | Thursday to Monday | Noon–7pm | "FALL HOURS!" |
| Real Things Pizza | Daily | 4:30–8:30pm | No season label, no date |
| Naramata Pub & Grill, 985 Robinson Ave | Wednesday to Sunday | Noon–8pm | Labelled "Summer Hours" |
Tuesday and Wednesday are the quiet days. Over those two days, the Bistro and the taproom are both closed, while the General Store stays open. Real Things Pizza says it is open daily, but that listing has no date and no season label. The pub's only posted schedule is its summer one, so its October hours are best confirmed by calling. The pub also advertises a meat draw every Saturday from 2 to 6pm, with no end date given.
The Bistro's fall schedule is a short window by design. The page says the Thursday-to-Monday dinners run from October 13 to November 1 "for seasonal closure," and it posts nothing beyond that date. The restaurant came back this year after the Inn closed in early 2025. Castanet reported last December that it returned under a signed three-year lease, with a May 1, 2026 reopening. The lease means the fall closure is a pause between seasons, not an ending. The Inn hasn't posted a date for the spring 2027 return yet.
The General Store Holds The Village Together In Fall
Many of the village's fall connections run through 219 Robinson Avenue. The store hosted the Cannery tastings during Gathers, co-hosts the October 9 evening with Just Baked 9 Mile and Abandoned Rail, and ran the pickup window at today's pop-up market. Its hours stay the same after Thanksgiving, which makes it the one place a resident can count on any day of the week.
The block around it has changed this year. In April, Discover Naramata reported that Just Baked had moved from its original spot to 340 Robinson Avenue, where it now runs as Just Baked 9 Mile. Frankie's Beach Provisions now lists 244 Robinson, the former Just Baked address. Neither business has posted fall or winter hours. Both started in their current locations in the spring, so this is the first off-season for each of them there.
A few steps away, 4th Meridian's Naramata shop says it is "now closed for the season." Its Cannery Trade Centre location in Penticton stays open Wednesday to Saturday, 11:30 to "4ish," and lists Hallway Social events on November 7 and December 5.
The Calendar Moves Indoors
Over the same weeks, the event listings move from patios and tasting rooms to indoor rooms. The Naramata Library closes for Thanksgiving and reopens with regular hours on Tuesday, October 13. Its October calendar lists:
- Naramata Knitters at 2pm on October 17, 24 and 31
- Naramata Prosers Writers' Circle at 10am on October 17 and 28
- Naramata Reads Book Club at 6:30pm on October 21
- Makedo Madness, Build a Haunted House at 3pm on October 28
- Frankenstein's Closet Costume Exchange, running through October 30
The branch's hours page lists Tuesday 3 to 7pm, Wednesday 1 to 5pm and Friday 10am to 1pm and 2 to 5pm. It shows Monday, Thursday and the weekend as closed. That page dates from 2024, though, and the October calendar puts the knitters on Saturdays. Rely on the calendar for program times. In practice, the library's posted open days fill the Tuesday and Wednesday gap left by the Bistro and the taproom.
Tempest Theatre's next listed offering is a class, not a show. Its adult Scene & Self Study session meets at 11am on November 14, 21 and 28. The theatre's last advertised performance was One Man Pride and Prejudice, October 2 to 4.
Naramata Centre keeps Orchard Court, East Court and Maple Court open through winter and closes its campgrounds. It lists the Iona Community program for October 15 to 18 and the Be Still Autumn Silent Retreat for October 20 to 28. Winter room dates aren't loaded yet, and the Centre asks guests to call. Its Gathering Words for Winter program meets online over Zoom on Tuesday evenings from 6 to 8pm, November 3 to December 8.
The Next Busy Dates
Between November 1 and late November, the published calendar gets thin. It picks up again with Naramata Bench Winterfest, scheduled for Friday, November 20 from 3 to 7pm and Saturday, November 21 from noon to 7pm. No tickets or reservations are needed. The Winterfest site posts event hours for individual wineries, such as Bench 1775 at 2 to 7pm Friday and 11am to 6pm Saturday. Those are hours for the event weekend, not regular winter tasting-room hours. Creek & Gully Cider and La Petite Abeille Cider are on the beverage list.
For regular tasting-room visits before then, Lake Breeze Vineyards on Sammet Road currently lists daily tastings from 11am to 5pm, with last tasting at 4:15 and no reservations. The page doesn't say how long that schedule will last. Creek & Gully holds an annual November Winter Wassail, but its events page still links to 2025 tickets, so the 2026 date isn't announced.
After Winterfest, the next listed date in the village is 4th Meridian's Christmas night market pop-up, Friday, December 4, from 4 to 9pm. The listing doesn't print a year, so confirm with the shop before planning around it.
